Tracy Arm Glacier
This photo of the Tracy Arm glacier was submitted by Barbara Griffin. She took this photo while on an Alaskan cruise. Traveling by boat is the most common way to view the Tracy Arm glacier. Warm clothes are necessary when you get up close. Temperatures range on average between 17 – 27 degrees Fahrenheit (-8 to -3 Celsius). Though some of Alaska’s glaciers are shrinking due to increased melting, they are still magnificent to behold.
